York, March 2016

The daffodils on the mound are fading by the end of March, but enjoy the views of the city as always. I chat to one of the English Heritage staff about the plans for the new visitor centre and suspended walkways that will give access to the upper levels; the work is due to begin in the autumn and will mean the closure of the castle for about 9 months!

Say farewell to Neal (who catches the train back) and then catch the Park and Ride bus back to the parking area. A nice half day visit to York, weather a bit disappointingly dull and damp.
