A lovely sunny day. I enjoy a short break exploring the central part of Sheffield near the Town hall with its pretty water features in the square in front of it (eat my late lunch here on a bench). Have a walk through the Winter garden with lovely plants and curved glass ceiling, then onto the Millennium gallery. I only have time to have a look at the Ruskin collection; books, illustrations, minerals, etc, that Ruskin donated to help educate Sheffield’s workers. The gallery is a lovely space, light, airy, well designed, it is a delight to walk through.
